The American HerefordAssociation proclaims that "Feed conversion, reproduction, liveability, hardiness and adaptability are important genetic traits to allow cattlemen to pocket profits by cutting costs...Herefords should be an important part of your genetic program to accomplish this goal."

The Hereford breed is used in composition of several other breeds of cattle, and the commercial cattleman has long since known the value of the Hereford influence. Additionally, most feedlots have long since had Herefords at the top of their orders, as their hardiness and meat quality lead to greater profits on the bottom line.

Both, the American and Canadian Hereford Associations also register a very efficient beef producer known as the Miniature Hereford. The association checks each pedigree free of dwarfism. This ensures the owner of a superior animal with predictability of off-spring without the worry of some other breed outcross or undesirable trait.

The Miniature Herefords are not only at home on the rugged mountains and vast expanse from Texas & the Soutwestern United States up to Canada, but they are also ideal for the small acreage farms on the Midwest plains. They are a very hardy breed requiring no greater care than their larger counterparts. Due to their size and nature, they can be handled without special equipment and fencing. It is our pleasure to make more information about the Miniature Herefords has been made available for you.

Here you can locate progressive Hereford breeders and view some of the cattle they have for sale. Breeders of Miniature Herefords are identified by the placement of a brown (M) next to their name in the directory.
