PRESIDENT’S CORNER

First, I would like to start off by saying thank you to Gary Parish and his committee on giving birth to our new newsletter. Let's hope we can make it bigger and happen more often.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the nominating committee, Board of Directors and LBBA membership in electing me as president.  This is a great honor that has been bestowed on me. Star and I have made so many good friends throughout the last few years. We found out Beefmaster breeders are all working toward the same goal. That is to produce the best Beefmaster cattle possible. As I look around and visit different ranches, the proof is there.

This is a great time to be in the cattle business. Auction barn cattle are up, rain has fallen on pastures, turned them green (except mine!!!), and BBU is giving us new programs as the Nolan Ryan Tender Aged Beef.

Remember our sale on October 14 in Lake Charles, consign good cattle, get them ready for the sale and you will see good results.

Shoot for the moon, if you miss, you might hit a star!!

As always, think right, think Beefmasters,

Louis DeBlanc
